HURDSE, known in Greek as EMEAT, is the Hellenic Unified Registry of Defence Sector Enterprises, governed by Presidential Decree 59/2025. It replaced the former MKAY register and is the official list of approved economic operators, organized by branch: suppliers of defence material, service providers, and infrastructure contractors. Companies aiming at Greek defence procurement should plan for it early.
In Greece, a facility security clearance is issued under the national industrial security regulation, EKBA (2020). It confirms that a company’s facilities, procedures and staff can protect classified information, as contracts involving such information require. It can also be submitted with an EMEAT application.
Yes. DIANA’s challenge calls are aimed at startups and SMEs incorporated and headquartered in NATO countries and majority-owned by their nationals, and they usually open once a year in early summer. Selected companies receive contractual funding and join the accelerator programme, with access to test centres across the Alliance.
The Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation is Greece’s national hub for disruptive defence and dual-use technology. Its calls cover areas such as AI, sensors, robotics, autonomy and cyber.
